A Dunedin special needs school that locked children in a seclusion room is being investigated amid claims teaching staff there physically abused children as young as five.
One staff member has quit, another is suspended, and an employment investigation is underway at Sara Cohen School.
Early this month the Government said it would ban seclusion rooms after an uproar over a Wellington school locking up autistic children.
