A new chapter in New Zealand politics begins today as Bill English is sworn in as Prime Minister.
Following the abrupt end to John Key's reign, Mr English will be officially confirmed as his replacement today and Paula Bennett as the new deputy.
The National Party caucus will meet later this morning to cast their already determined votes for leader.
Early this afternoon Mr Key and Mr English will meet with Governor General Dame Patsy Reddy at Government House to effect the official transfer of power.
