President Trump has tweeted today will be "a big day" for his country. Our correspondent in Washington Simon Marks says it will be largely centred on national security. Donald Trump expected to announce border wall with Mexico today. Reporter Shannon Young in Mexico says it will be the Mexican people who will pay. Trade Minister Todd McClay says it's likely any trade deal with the United States is still a long way off- and striking a bargain may be difficult. Labour MP Iain Lees Galloway says it's "not credible" that former Internal Affairs Minister doesn't remember granting citizenship to American billionaire Peter Thiel. The Government has announced another crackdown on dangerous buildings with concerns centred on Wellington City. Wellington Mayor Justin Lester says up to half of the cost will be met by the councils and the government. There's a new call by the country's medical specialists for the Government to consider screening all newborn babies for congenital heart disease.
