There are major discrepancies between two government departments about the total number of social houses, and even very different views on what constitutes a social house.
In its annual report, the Ministry of Business Innovation and Employment said there were 60,995 social housing places in 2016.
But the Social Housing Minister Amy Adams says there are 66,000 social houses in the country.
