Katikati locals await newly announced bypass

Yesterday Katikati residents got the news they've waited 40 years go hear -- Transport Minister Simon Bridges said a bypass would be added as part of the $520 million Waihi to Tauranga road project.

Morning Report speaks to one local resident, Roger Stiles, who says the decision's been a long time coming. "We believe putting a bypass in will mean Katikati will become a more liveable town."
