MPI reponds to concerns about Manuka honey failing new test
An independent adviser to the Manuka honey industry says there's a fault with the government's new testing standards which means the best honey is failing. John Hill says up to 20 per cent of the purest honey isn't passing, or an estimated 10 to 20 million dollars worth. Bryan Wilson is MPI's deputy director of general regulation and assurance says there is nothing wrong with the new tests.
