PPTA working to support all sexualities and genders

Schools are being encouraged to adopt gender-neutral uniforms to ensure all students feel welcome. The PPTA says such policies make schools safer and more supportive for children with diverse gender identities and sexualities. The union also says skirts and dresses means girls are less likely to participate in physical activity. The union's rainbow taskforce convenor Shawn Cooper says it wants to be a resource for schools that could be navigating the idea for the first time.
