Bed tax will unfairly penalise small Auckland motels

As Auckland Council pushes ahead with the so-called bed tax, in an effort to raise 14 million dollars a year, the plan has been labelled disappointing by tourism operators and unfair by moteliers. But the industry is also talking to its lawyers, indicating legal action could be on the horizon.
