Insurance costs place Waimea dam project $700,000 higher

The partners in a large-scale dam planned for the Tasman District say it will cost around 700-thousand dollars more than expected. Mayor Richard Kempthorne says despite what opponents to the dam say, a major problem looms for the region if it can't secure a reliable water supply.
