Defence Force building may take a year to demolish

Demolition of the Defence Force's former head office building, Freyberg House begins in central Wellington in the next few weeks. The building's owners, AMP Capital say it's not economically viable to repair the ten year old building. Commuters can expect lane closures and disruption around Aitken Street and Mulgrave Street for several months.
