Bennett's 'fewer human rights' call a mistake - English
National has announced new policies, which in their own words will 'crack down on gangs and drugs'.The plan involves spending $82 million over four years to stop gang activity and the supply of methamphetamine. Under the proposed policy, police would have the power to search the cars and houses of serious criminal gang members, without a warrant, for firearms. Paula Bennett explained that serious criminals "should have fewer human rights than others". National Party leader Bill English joins us to discuss the plans.
