Death in jet boat marathon 'devastating'
Police have named the man killed in a jet boat race on the Waimakariri River in Canterbury. Duayne Barry Insley who was 47 died on Sunday morning during the second leg of the ITM World Jet Boat Marathon. The accident happened on a braided section of the river above an area known as "the pylons." Forty-five teams from around the world are taking part in the jet boat marathon, and racing was postponed after the crash. Spokesperson for the Jet Boat River Racing Association Paul Mullan joins us to discuss what's happening next in the competition.
