Peters' legal action to have 'chilling effect on democracy

Media freedom advocates say Winston Peters' attempt to obtain the emails and phone records of two journalists is outrageous and will have a chilling effect on democracy if successful. The deputy Prime Minister is seeking the journalists' communications in a bid to find out who leaked details of his pension overpayments.
