Waikato DHB loses accreditation to assess water
The Waikato District Health board has lost its accreditation to assess drinking water safety because it lacks competent staff. The country's accrediation agency IANZ says the DHB is chronically short staffed with only one full time water assessor and one part-timer to do the job of 5 people. Just last week, the Havelock North inquiry revealed similar problems.
