It was a tale of two powhiri at Rātana Pā as Government and opposition MPs turned up to take part in the annual celebrations on Wednesday. Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern was surrounded by fans. National, meanwhile, fronted to a less emotive crowd - with Bill English's earlier comments about te reo challenged. RNZ political reporter Craig McCulloch spent the day at Rātana.
