Civil Defence asks NZ to prepare for Cyclone Gita

Cyclone Gita is expected to move southeast across the upper South Island and lower North Island late on Tuesday and Wednesday bringing heavy rain and gales. Niwa's principal forecasting scientist is Chris Brandolino.
