Huge plastic pollution at Oriental Bay - Te Matau o Maui

Māori voyagers have sailed the length of the North Island trawling plastics and say they've never come across a beach as polluted as Wellington's Oriental Bay. The team of Te Matau o Maui joined petitioners yesterday at Parliament to present 60,000 signatures calling for the government to ban single-use plastic bags.
