NZ businessman Chris Liddell tipped for top Trump job
White House insiders are saying Kiwi expat Chris Liddell might soon become US President Donald Trump's top economic adviser. Chris Liddell has been working in the Trump White House since January 2017 and before that was a key adviser on the transition team. He's now tipped to replace Gary Cohn as director of the National Economic Council, following Mr Cohn's resignation last week. The Wall Street Journal's White House reporter Michael Bender tells Guyon Espiner Mr Liddell has the backing of some key players such as Jared Kushner, but his appointment is not a given.
