Hato Petera still getting funding despite just one student
An Auckland Maori Catholic school will still receive $200,000 of state funding, despite having only one student on its roll. Hato Petera College on Auckland's North Shore is the only Maori catholic co-ed school in New Zealand. In 1995, 210 pupils were on the roll, but numbers have continued to shrink. The commisioner of Hato Petera, Lex Hamill, speaks to Susie Ferguson.
