Napier centre naming fight nearly over

A long-running saga over the re-naming of Napier's conference centre is over. The council has voted a return the building to its original name, the Napier War Memorial Centre. That's despite the mayor warning that a failure to include the words conference and centre in its title would cost ratepayers dearly. And at a council meeting last night Bill Dalton faced accusations of trying to manipulate the public over the issue. RNZ Hawke's Bay reporter Anusha Bradley was at the meeting and filed this report.
