Wellington office evacuated just hours after deemed safe

Several hundred people were forced to evacuate a 13-storey office building in central Wellington yesterday despite being told only the day before that it was safe to occupy. Cracks in the floor from heavy concrete pillars were found on multiple levels raising alarm about the building's capacity to withstand an earthquake.
