Ardern meets Queen at Buckingham Palace

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern has met the Queen at Buckingham Palace on Thursday evening (UK time). Ms Ardern is in London for the Commonwealth Heads of Government meeting (CHOGM) and had the opportunity for a talk with the 91-year-old monarch for the first time. She didn't want to be specific what the pair discussed. Ms Ardern has said she believes New Zealand will become a republic one day - but it's not on her agenda. She was asked if she had talked about this with the Queen and what might happen when the Queen dies.
