Nine Stuff papers downsize to tabloid
Today nine major newspapers have downsized, abandoning the traditional broad sheet size of paper and publishing as compact or tabloid-sized papers. The Fairfax-owned newspapers include the Dominion Post, the Press, and the Waikato Times as well as the Manawatu Standard and the Southland Times. Tim Murphy is the co-editor of Newsroom and was the editor of the New Zealand Herald when it went tabloid. Sinead Boucher is the chief executive of Stuff Ltd which publishes the papers. She watched the new, smaller, edition of the Dominion roll off the presses last night.
