The father and daughter missing at sea near Great Barrier Island for two days were back on land yesterday.
The 42-year-old man and his 17-year-old daughter had not returned to shore after taking part in a fishing contest on Friday.
Their boat had lost all power and they had been adrift in heavy seas.
