Māori education: Govt urged to fight unconscious bias

The Education Ministry has urged the government to develop a national programme targetting school teachers' unconcious bias against Māori children. A briefing obtained under the Official Information Act shows the ministry said such a scheme would be a bold step that could deliver a powerful step change for Māori. It says the programme could be developed by the end of this year and school principals say its a great idea.
