New report paints grim picture of children's dental health
A new report from the Child Poverty Action Group has painted a grim picture of the state of children's teeth - especially those from poor families. While the prevalence of tooth decay in most developed countries is declining - it remains stubbornly high in New Zealand. Lance Norman is the chief executive of Maori public health provider, Hapai Te Hauora. RNZ social issues reporter Sarah Robson asked him why Maori and Pasifika children in particular are at high risk of poor oral health.
