Nine threatened native birds killed in Kaikōura

At least nine threatened native birds were deliberately killed in Kaikōura on Sunday. The Department of Conservation is investigating what has been described as the deliberate maiming and killing of the protected red-billed gulls. Sabrina Luecht runs the private charity, Kaikoura Wildlife Rescue, and was called to the scene on Sunday morning.
