Trump defiant on seizing migrant children
Donald Trump is refusing to back down on the policy of seizing children from illegal immigrants. According to the Departmet of Homeland Security in six weeks, nearly two thousand children have been taken from their parents. Speaking to the media this morning, he continued to blame the Democrats for the policy despite it being introduced last month, and the Republicans controlling Congress, the Senate, and the White House. And Mr Trump did nothing to assuage the impression that he is holding children hostage as he attempts to do a deal on the country's immigration policy. Our US correspondent Steve Mort has been following this story. He talks to Susie Ferguson.
