Pasifika breast cancer deaths twice that of Pakeha

A Māori consultant has spoken out about the offensive and ignorant comments from hospital staff while she being treated for breast cancer. New figures show Māori and Pasifika women are almost twice as likely to die from the disease, after five years, than Pākehā women. Irene Kereama Royal says it was a battlefield going through the health system, and more action is needed to save the lives of Māori women. Māori news correspondent Leigh-Marama McLachlan reports.
