Goff not banning far-right speakers, but won't provide venue

Acting Prime Minister Winston Peters has questioned the decision by Auckland Mayor Phil Goff to ban two far-right Canadian activists from speaking at city council venues. Mr Peters on Monday said free speech was one of the most fundamental freedoms and it was wrong to ban the pair from speaking, no matter that most New Zealanders would find their views appalling.
