Tauranga council offers support to Anihera Black

Tauranga City Council is offering support to Anihera Black, who has claimed that her late former husband, iwi leader Te Awanuiarangi Black, was a paedophile. After speaking with Mrs Black, the council is considering helping to fund a stage show that encourages people who have experienced abuse to come forward. Police say that no one has yet approached them with allegations of sexual abuse against Mr Black. Kelvin Clout is Tauranga's deputy mayor. He talks to Guyon Espiner.
