Some schools opposing childcare on strike day
An after-school provider says some schools asked it not to provide full-day childcare for families affected by Wednesday's primary and intemediate teacher strike. Most schools are closing completely because of the strike, with very few providing supervision, so some after-school programmes are filling the gap. Paul Jamieson from Kelly Club New Zealand told RNZ reporter Ben Strang some schools supported the company's offer of a full-day of care for children, but others did not.
