Safety alert hits trucking industry pockets
A Masterton transport firm says a new safety alert that's put half its fleet of 12 trucks off the road is costing it $10,000 a day in lost revenue. The Transport Agency's warning about towing connections on nearly 500 heavy vehicles follows its investigation into Wellington certifier Dick Joyce. Graeme Reisima who runs Masterton's Reisima Haulage told RNZ reporter Phil Pennington he was surprised Dick Joyce's work has been questioned.
