Ka mua, ka muri - walking backwards into the future
"Ka mua, ka muri" is a whakatauki that many will know means "walking backwards into the future" - the idea we should look to the past to inform the future. We started this week talking to Dame Naida Glavish about how she was censured for saying kia ora, This morning we say kia ora to some young people who will carry te reo into the future. Alex Perrottet is joined by Te Kura Kaupapa Maori o Puau Te Moananui-a-kiwa students Hilda-Rose Strickland and Zach Armitage Rama-Manga, and their kaiako Heidi Brickell.
