Greens relaunch campaign to raise benefits
The Greens have re-launched their campaign to raise benefits and scrap all sanctions, on Sunday reaffirming what the party says is its commitment to social justice. Their fight for a better welfare system ahead of last year's election was overshadowed by then co-leader Metiria Turei's admission to benefit fraud, which ultimately drove her to resign from Parliament. But the Greens' campaign for change continues and as co-leader Marama Davidson told RNZ political reporter Gia Garrick, she's humbled to be carrying forward Mrs Turei's work.
