Report of toxic culture at Cycling NZ 'unsurprising' - McKenzie
A track cyclist who was fat-shamed and bullied by her coach two years ago says she is unsurprised by the findings of an independent review into the toxic culture at Cycling New Zealand. Steph McKenzie was forced her out of the national track programme run by Anthony Peden. Michael Heron QC yesterday issued a report critical of Cycling New Zealand for allowing "an old boys club" of unaccountability to exist. Mr Heron said he was satisfied the allegations levelled at the high performance programme were well founded.
