Diaries of Gallipoli war veterans return home

A family's 40 year-long campaign to have the diary of a First World War veteran returned has come to an end. Hartley Valentine Palmer is one of three Gallipoli veterans whose diaries returned to New Zealand this week. His family are convinced the precious book was stolen, and described its return as a huge victory.
