Errant tourists biggest risk Tane Mahuta - scientists

Scientists and others working on kauri dieback are meeting this morning to discuss the latest test results for the disease in Waipoua Forest. A tree 60 metres from Tane Mahuta was found to be infected with the kauri killing pathogen in June. And scientists have been taking soil samples in a grid pattern to find out just how close it's crept to the famous old tree. Dr Ian Horner, from Plant and Food Research, led the team. He spoke to our Northland reporter Lois Williams.
