National's Scott Simpson blames strikes on govt
Air New Zealand engineers have called off their three-day strike, which could have affected up to 120,000 travellers in the busy week before Christmas. The airline said late last night it had reached agreement with the unions on pay and conditions. The National Party had blamed the planned strike on the government, accusing it of promoting unrest. National's employment spokesperson Scott Simpson is in our Wellington studio.
