'Too many women die at the hands of men' - Mark Longley
The father of Emily Longley - the young New Zealander who was murdered in Britain in 2011 - was among the speakers at the Auckland vigil for Grace Millane and other victims of violence last night. Mark Longley spoke at the vigil in Federal Street, a short distance from where Ms Millane was last seen. Mr Longley's daughter Emily was 17 when she was killed by her ex-boyfriend, who was jailed for life for her murder. He told a large crowd that he felt for David Millane, Grace's father, who travelled to New Zealand last week and was also among the crowd on Wednesday night.
