UK govt MPs vote on Theresa May's leadership - update
In the UK, Conservative MPs are voting right now on whether Theresa May should stay as their leader. She's made a last minute appeal that she should continue to be Prime Minister, to lead Britain out of Europe. But in what could be a crucial concession,. she's told MPs she won't lead the party into the next election, currently due to be held in 2022. Conservative MP Marcus Fisher was in the room when she spoke - he says that could still mean Mrs May leading the party into a snap election if one is called earlier than that. He says MPs should vote her out. Tim Bale is a Professor of Politics at Queen Mary University of London. He talks to Guyon Espiner.
