More detainees join Australian detention 'hunger strikes'
Inmates in more Australian detention centres, many of whom are New Zealanders, have joined hunger protests started by detainees at the Yongah Hill facility near Perth. Some detainees in Western Australian are now entering their ninth day with next to no food. On Monday morning, detainees from Villawood Immigration Detention Centre in Sydney and Brisbane Immigration Transit Accommodation joined the protest. The Australian authorities have repeatedly denied there are any mass hunger strikes. Matthew Theunissen reports.
