Whanganui stabbing: Witnesses describe horrific scene

One person is dead and five people were injured when a man went on a stabbing rampage in Whanganui yesterday. Emergency services rushed to the carpark of the New World supermarket on Wicksteed Street mid-afternoon. Horrified shoppers saw a woman with multiple stab wounds collapse on the ground, and other victims lying injured nearby. RNZ reporter Leigh-Marama McLachlan was at the scene on Tuesday and is back there again on Wednesday morning.
