Wellington's waterfront came alive yesterday as the city embraced the art of poi ahead of the biggest celebration of Māori performing arts in the country, Te Matatini. A pop-up poi performance was led by New Zealand's oldest competitive kapa haka group, who invited anyone along to learn the technique. Te Aniwa Hurihanganui went to take a look.
