Christchurch police shooting: Gunman hospitalised

A man is under armed guard in Christchurch Hospital this morning after being shot by police last night. Canterbury District Commander, Superintendent John Price says the man fired at officers, who returned fire, hitting him in the lower body. He was taken to hospital in a serious condition. Resident Ben Houlahan described what he saw.
