Facebook apps down around world

Facebook and Instagram users around the world are having trouble accessing the social media apps on Thursday morning (NZ time), apparently due to an outage. It also appears to be affecting the WhatsApp messenger service, which is also owned by Facebook. Facebook has tweeted, saying: "We're aware that some people are currently having trouble accessing the Facebook family of apps. We're working to resolve the issue as soon as possible."
