Polyfest reflects cultural diversity of NZ - students
The world's biggest Pacific Island dance festival has kicked off in Auckland. More than 12,000 secondary school students, from 66 schools, will take to the stage before the Festival wraps up on Saturday. The festival has grown since the first Polyfest was held at Hillary College in Otara, in 1976. This year, groups will be performing dances from Asia, Africa and for the first time the Middle East, on Polyfest's Diversity Stage. RNZ Pacific's Christine Rovoi has more.
