City Rail link to cost $1b more than estimated

The infrastructure sector says political pressure may have contributed to low-ball estimates of Auckland's major City Rail Link. The country's largest ever transport project will cost one billion dollars more than the 3.4 billion estimated in 2014. It is now up to the government and Auckland Council to approve the revised budget.
