Hopes raised for immigrants' parents visas

A woman who has been trying for years to help her mother immigrate to New Zealand has taken heart from yesterday's select committee hearing. Immigration New Zealand made a submission to the committee which is looking in to the moratorium on the Parent Category Visa. The agency said there was NO evidence that people on such visas were taking advantage of social assistance as had been claimed. This was music to the ears of Carole Barker.
