A rainbow community activist Aych McArdle says well-meaning words don't matter, and they want to see action from Bishop Brian Tamaki backing up his apology to the LGBT community.
Destiny Church invited people from the community to an event on Saturday to witness Mr Tamaki say he's sorry if LGBT people believe anything he has said has hurt them.
